FOND is member in CONCORD and represents GCAP in Romania. FOND members are already participating in various European networks of NGDOs - DEF (Development Education Forum), DEEEP, FDR (Funding for Relief and Development), CONCORD’s WG Enlargement and to CONCORD’s AidWatch.
FOND participated at the International Forum of National NGOs Platforms, 3rd-5th of February 2011, Dakar The first General Assembly of the International Forum of National NGO Platform took place in Dakar from 3rd to 5th of February and brought together participants from more than 60 countries. This meeting's main objective was to institutionalize this movement by adopting some essential documents like Charter, Rules of procedures, conditions of membership. Find more information from here. FOND participated at the European Development Days 6th - 7th of December 2010, Bruxelles Heads of States and Government, politicians, NGO representatives, practitioners in development cooperation field and media attended the European Development Days (EDD). The 5th edition of this event was organized by the European Commission and Belgian Presidency of the Council of European Union. Study Visit to Brussels, 12th -16th of July 2010 The visit was organised by the EU institutions in Brussels and aimed at helping the participants to understand about the main EU institutions and how to better interact with them. The program included meetings with representatives of the European Economic and Social Committee, the Development Committee of the European Parliament, DG DEV and DG EuropeAid of the European Commission and the Bulgarian and Romanian Permanent Representatives in Brussels. Non governmental organizations Forum, 15th-16th of December 2008
The event held in Chisinau, was organized by Centrul de Resurse „Tineri si Liberi”, Centrul Contact, CReDO, Eco Tiras, within the Program "Strengthening the civil society"-UNDP Moldova. A delegation of FOND members participated at this Forum- PATRIR, "Alaturi de Voi" Romanian Foundation and "Centrul pentru Politici si Servicii de Sanatate". An important topic discussed was how to improve the legal and institutional framework of the NGO's.
GCAP Europe General Assembly 2008
Sankt Petersburg 12th - 14th of November 2008
The event was held in Sankt Petersburg. The main objectives of this meeting were to present and evaluate GCAP Europe’s activities, implemented in 2008, to consider the position GCAP Europe in the GCAP Global structure, to develop the plan of activities for 2009, drawing the main directions for future campaigns at European level, and last but not least to establish national coalitions representatives in Steering Group (main group of the decision in GCAP Europe).

European Development Days
15th-17th of November 2008-Strasbourg
The event organized by the Directorate General for Development of the European Commission brought together representatives of EU institutions and relevant ministries of EU Member States, of national parliaments, local authorities, NGOs, academia, private sector and media, as well as a number of senior representatives of international organizations active in the field. The motto of the 2008 edition was "Where Davos meets Porto Allegre" and the theme was local governance. It was a great opportunity for the actors involved to share their experience.
FOND was represented by two member organizations: Foundation Partners for Local Development (FPDL) and ProWomen (Iasi).

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF NGOs PLATFORMS, 27 - 30 October
During 27-30 October was held in Paris, the first edition of the International Conference of National Platforms of NGOs, organized by the Coordination Sud (French Platform) with the support of French Presidency of the European Union. This event brought together participants representing national platforms from over 90 countries in Europe, Africa, Latin America, Australia and the Pacific.
In the first two days, 27 and 28 October, took place workshops held for each regional coalition targeted topics such as: cooperation between national platforms, establishing priority themes of common interest (established after questionnaires completed by participants) and prepare a common message to Europe.
October 29 was entitled "NGO Forum - Partners International" and included several workshops who are took place in parallel with the following themes: interaction between NGOs and local authorities, complementarity between national platforms of NGOs and international NGOs, interaction between NGOs and organizations internatationale (with representatives from UNDP, OECD, World Trade Organization, World Bank) and expectations of non-governmental organizations from the Euro-parliamentary elections in 2009. The last day of this conference included a series of debates on Europe's role in promoting human rights, sustainable development and an environment of peace.
