Opportunities

To convince yourself, if we didn’t do that already, we invite you to read the following testimonials of our interns:

“An internship within the Romanian NGDO Platform represents a first step in a career in the international development field. As being part of the first generation of the English-taught Master’s Degree Programme “Development, International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid” (SNSPA), the time spent along with the FOND executive  team – a team truly involved in the activities related to the implementation and development of an efficient and coherent international development cooperation & humanitarian aid policy in Romania, has represented an advantage for my academic pursuit, managing to put into practice all the  theoretical experience accumulated during college.

More than that, the tasks within the internship contribute to the development of personal skills and organizational competencies. Nevertheless, the most important thing that stays with you after this experience is the motivation to be involved in the field of development cooperation policy. I can say that it is one of the best decisions for any young person who is interested in gaining experience in a nongovernmental framework, alongside a young and dedicated team!”

Adina Voicila, Graduate Student - DICHA (Development, International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid), SNSPA

“What did FOND mean to me? This question determines me to highlight some of the prominent characteristics of FOND from my personal point of view. Firstly, FOND has increased my interest in the field of international development cooperation due to the professionalism proven by the FOND team in all the implemented activities. Moreover, this internship has drawn my interest and curiosity towards truly understanding the mechanisms of the development cooperation policies, the ways in which they evolve and are applied in Romania since 2007 until present. But what really recommends the FOND internship is the possibility of combining theoretical notions – learned in college – with the practical ones, thus managing to obtain the necessary basis for a future career in the field of international development cooperation.”

“Professionalism, coordination, friendship, teamwork. Even though the list may continue, these are the key works which characterize my experience as an intern within the Romanian NGDO Platform. Following the courses of a political science faculty, I have become more and more interested in the way in which decisions are taken at the highest level, which are the influencing factors and also by the degree in which  society is involved in this entire process. To all these questions and also to my countless curiosities I had found answers during the 3 months of internship within FOND.  Thanks to FOND I have managed to let go my fear of not knowing a certain domain sufficiently, I have defined my abilities and I had the honor to meet extraordinary people. At the same time, due to the Platform, I will have the opportunity to participate at _____, an annual event organized under the iEARN aegis – International Education and Resource Network.”

Theodora Radu, Student at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest

“If you are willing to discover the field of international development cooperation or to better know the efforts of Romania and the European Union towards increasing the standard of living and the social-economic conditions of the developing countries, an internship at the Romanian NGDO Platform may be an important pillar. For me it was, especially as a student in the International Relations department, as it has created a much clearer view of the development field and its challenges nowadays. I recommend to anyone interested in this subject to apply, given the fact that we also enter the post-2015 era, in which international development puts officially an emphasis on the sustainability dimension.”

Madalin Blidaru, Student at the Faculty of International Relations, SNSPA
