Mobility Fund for experts Romania - Moldova

Update: The final results of the selection process for small grants can be viewed here (Romanian version).

The third round of the Mobility Fund is implemented by the Romanian NGDO Platform - FOND, with the financial support of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Romanian development cooperation programme RoAid, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme - Regional Center for Europe and Central Asia (UNDP)

The third round continues the initiative launched by FOND back in 2014, when the pilot round was implemented, followed by the first two rounds of the Mobility Fund.

The project represents a follow-up activity of the Civil Society Forum Romania - Republic of Moldova (2011), when there was highlighted the strong need of creating a mobility fund in order to support the knowledge and expertise transfer between representatives of the civil society from both of the countries.

The general objective of the Mobility Fund consists of the bilateral transfer of experiences, knowledge and good practices between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, the strengthening of the dialogue between the two countries, the civil society involvement in the process of formulating public policies, the development of common projects and partnership actions that respond to the European Union integration objectives of Moldova, as well as to the objectives of Romania within the development cooperation framework.

The beneficiaries of the Mobility Fund:

1. For individual mobilities: civil society experts from Romania and Republic of Moldova. The grant is offered to physical entities. An expert can benefit from only one-time financing.

2. For small grants: civil society organizations from Romania and Republic of Moldova.

For the small grants, the deadline for submitting applications was August 29, 2016, 5 a.m.

Applications for the individual mobilities can be also submitted and implemented during the period/ between August - December 2016.
